The Lighthouse is happy to consider new chapters in Episcopal, ELCA, PCUSA and UMC churches across the nation. “Lighthouse” chapters are nonreligious, while “Lighthouse Faith” and “Lighthouse Missional Community” chapters provide space for young people to explore faith in a queer affirming context. This delineation depends upon the availability of secular safe spaces in the congregation’s geographical area, and will always be clear in a chapter’s name. Both types of chapters express a congregation’s commitment to love LGBTQIA+ young people and their families as God does – unconditionally – and provide the type of space most needed in their context.
